Louis (Looper) LeBlanc of Dieppe died peacefully at home November 9th, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer. Born May 8th, 1959 in Moncton, he was the son of Rita (née: Belliveau) and late Valerie LeBlanc of Dieppe.
Louis was employed at TRC Hydraulics for nearly 30 years prior to his illness. Louis will be fondly remembered for his warm smile, quick wit and kind heart. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He was devoted to his family and children, Cody and Christine, and was involved in their many sports and activities. He loved hockey as a fan, a player (goaltender), and coach in the Dieppe minor hockey association.
Besides his mother Rita of Dieppe, he is survived by his wife Ruth (née: Coyle), son Cody, daughter Christine (Steve Mahar), both of Moncton, 4 sisters Stella LeBlanc (Denis), Maria Bourgeois (Rheal), Jeannine Belliveau (Don) of Dieppe, Phyllis LeClerc (Jean-Guy) of Ammon, 2 brothers Paul (Lisette) of Aldouane and Philippe of Dieppe.
He is predeceased by his father, brother Frank and nephew Martin, all of Dieppe.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11 am.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation "Oncology" or to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) would be appreciated by the family.
Paisiblement, à sa maison, le vendredi 9 novembre, 2012, à l’âge de 53 ans, est décédé Louis LeBlanc, aussi connu par « Looper ». Il demeurait à Dieppe, N.-B.
Né à Moncton, N.-B., il était fils de Rita (née Belliveau) et de feu Valerie LeBlanc.
Il était employé de T.R.C. Hydraulics.
Outre sa mère Rita de Dieppe, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Ruth (née Coyle); ses enfants Christine (Steve Mahar) et Cody tous deux de Moncton; quatre sœurs: Stella (Denis) LeBlanc, Maria (Rhéal) Bourgeois, Jeannine (Donald) Belliveau, toutes trois de Dieppe et Phyllis (Jean-Guy) Leclerc de Ammon, N.-B.; deux frères: Paul (Lisette) de Petite-Aldouane, et Philippe de Dieppe; sa belle-mère Jacqueline Coyle et son beau-frère Terry (Lynne) tous deux de Dieppe; deux belles-sœurs: Barb (John) Breau de Shediac Cape, et Sandra Macdonald (Jack Gray) d’Ottawa, ON, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son père Valerie et son frère Frank, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le mardi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B., le mercredi 14 novembre, 2012, à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-Du-Calvaire, à Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à « World Wildlife Fund (WWF) » ou à la Fondation de l’Hôpital Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont « Oncologie » serait apprécié par la famille.
