Cocagne – Marguerite Girouard, 75, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cap-Pelé on May 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Mildred (McGrath) Brine.
Marguerite will be sadly missed by her special friend, Auguste Doiron; her two daughters, Jo-Ann Léger (Léonard) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Theresa Morrison (Lance) of St-Paul-de-Kent; one sister, Christina Bourque (Léonce) of Shediac; six grandchildren, Marie-Cécile, Tammy, Tina, Katina, Tiffany, Shelby; seven great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Alvin; a daughter, Mildred; five sisters, Irène, Gladius, Agnes, Daphna and Rita.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, December 2, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, December 3, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral Service will be at the St. Pierre de Cocagne RC Church on Monday, December 3 at 11 am.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Oncology Dept. or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
