It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt and friend, Marguerite LeBlanc, 76, of Sainte-Foy, Québec, on January 26, 2019, à la Maison Michel-Sarazzin in Québec.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Daniel (Damien) LeBlanc and the late Laudia (born LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Prior to her retirement in 1997, she was a dedicated registered nurse at the Jeffery Hale Hospital for 27 years.
The energy, spirit and culture of Québec City were the perfect match for Marguerite and she adored living there for nearly 50 years.
Marguerite was an avid traveler and her passport was stamped from many exotic locations. Her home was filled with treasures from her adventures and her travel stories always made for lively dinner conversation.
Loved by all, Marguerite leaves behind to mourn cherished sister, Carmel Melanson; nephews and niece: Sylvio (Cristiana) LeBlanc, Lisette (Michel) Cormier and Dion LeBlanc; great nephew, Martin Cormier and great niece, Mylène Cormier and dear friends: Lise Lizotte, Lucille (Julien) Cormier and Christine (Jean) Payeur, among many others.
Predeceased by brothers: Raymond, George, and Norman LeBlanc.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2 pm in Saint-Félix Church, 1460 Provancher Street, Québec.
A Celebration of the Word will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) at a later date.
A special thank you to Dr. Catherine Doyle for her support during the last 10 years, staff from the CLSC, namely Martin Vézina who provided so much comfort, and everyone at la Maison Michel-Sarazzin for their exceptional compassion and care during the last few weeks.
Donations to la Maison Michel-Sarazzin 2101, chemin St-Louis, Québec (Québec), G1T 1P5 or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Née à Moncton, N.-B., elle était la fille de feu Daniel (Damien) LeBlanc et de feu Laudia (née LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Le service religieux sera célébré le jeudi 31 janvier 2019 à 14 heures en l’église Saint-Félix, 1460 Rue Provancher, Québec.
La famille vous accueillera à l’église une heure avant la cérémonie, soit de 13 heures à 14 heures.
Une célébration de la parole aura lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., à une date ultérieure.
Avant sa retraite en 1997, elle a travaillé pendant 27 ans comme infirmière à l’Hôpital Jeffery Hale.
Elle a beaucoup aimé l’énergie, l’esprit et la culture de la ville de Québec, où elle passa près de 50 ans de sa vie.
Marguerite aimait beaucoup voyager et son passeport en était la preuve. Elle revenait à la maison avec des histoires de ses aventures, qui fascinaient toujours les invités autour de sa table.
Aimée de tous, Marguerite laisse dans le deuil sa sœur bien-aimée, Carmel Melanson; ses neveux: Sylvio (Cristiana) LeBlanc et Dion LeBlanc et une nièce, Lisette (Michel) Cormier; ainsi qu’un petit-neveu, Martin Cormier et une petite-nièce, Mylène Cormier; ses grandes amies: Lise Lizotte, Lucille (Julien) Cormier et Christine (Jean) Payeur et bien d’autres.
Elle fut précédée dans la tombe par ses frères, Raymond, Georges et Norman LeBlanc.
Un merci bien spécial au Dr Catherine Doyle pour ses soins exceptionnels et son support pendant les dix dernières années, ainsi qu’à Martin Vézina et les employés du CLSC. Aussi, un gros merci à la Maison Michel-Sarrazin pour leur compassion et les soins exceptionnels.
