Jill was born in Moncton NB, where she completed her education and worked at various occupations including a period with the CNR and NB Telephone before marrying her first husband, Clarence, and following his musical career to Nova Scotia where she worked as a secretary for EMI Cosser in Dartmouth. Later she moved to Sackville, NB where Clarence was working as a professor of music at Mount Allison University. In 1966 she, again, followed Clarence’s musical career to the United States where she found employment as an elementary teacher and French language translator in the development of the SST program with the Bendix Corporation. As her husband went on to Church musical director employment in Florida, she moved into hospital administration where she became the Director of Human Resources at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Then, in 1998 she returned to Canada performing volunteer work with Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent.
Clarence died in 2005 and several years later she re-connected and married a longtime family friend, Joseph. From there the two of them embarked on a make –up tour of the many places and things that they had missed in their working years. They had a ball until the years and health problems caught up with them.
She was known to many, loved by all and a pleasure to be nearby.
Her struggles are over and she rests in a much better place.
For all who knew her, God Bless & God speed
