Marie Melanson

Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and the late Yvonne (Richard) Roy. Marie was a hairdresser and later worked at her husband’s business.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ronald Melanson, her three sisters: Léontine Cormier (Donald) of Saint-Antoine, Odette Melanson of Saint-Antoine, Rita Falkowski (Stanley) of Garfield, NJ, her two brothers: Louis Roy (Phyllis) of Moncton, Yvon Roy (Barbara) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, two brothers-in-law: Albéo Cormier of Moncton, Hector-Eddy Richard of Moncton, and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was predeceased by two sisters: Gérène (2001), Aline (2013), and one brother-in-law Norman C. Melanson (2007).

Marie loved good jokes and gags. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed offering meals to family and friends. She was a very loving person. Her laughter, her warmth and the twinkle of her eyes will remain in our hearts forever!

Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul-de-Kent Slumber Room, 6476 Route 515, Saint-Paul-de-Kent, NB on Tuesday April 4th, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and from 5:30pm – 6:45pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Paul-de-Kent RC Church, 6476 Route 515, Saint-Paul-de-Kent, NB on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 at 7:00pm with interment in the parish cemetery later in the spring.

In Marie’s memory, donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
