Ste-Marie-de-Kent – Noëlla Nowlan, 91, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.- Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012, after a short illness.
Born in Moncton on April 8th, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and late Amanda (Cormier) Richard.
Noëlla will be sadly missed by her four sons, Clarence, Richard (Gisèle) both of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Léonce (Bernice) of Moncton and Michel (Lucie) of Notre-Dame; her two daughters, Lorraine (Victor) Cormier of Ste-Marie-de-Kent and Jacqueline Nowlan of Bouctouche; her two brothers, Donald (Alexina) Richard of Bouctouche and Alonzo (Evéline) Richard of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; her four sisters, Geneva Maillet, Dorine Cormier both of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Ella Mathieu of Hartford, Conn. and Lorraine Graham of Niagara Falls, ON; her eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren and also to several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John (Johnny) Nowlan; one brother, Gérald Richard; two sisters, Anise Richard and Corinne Richard and one infant son, Clarence.
Visitations will be held at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Slumber Room, Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NBon Friday, March 16th, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 5:30 till 6:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel RC Church, Ste-Marie-de-Kent on Friday, March 16th, at 7:00pm. Interment will be in the spring at the parish cemetery.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
