Dieppe, NB – Normand Bastien, 87, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, NB, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016.

Born in Montreal, QC, he was the son of the late Henri and the late Éveline Bastien (nee Michaud).

Normand will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Félicia Bastien (nee Morrison) of Dieppe, NB; by his daughter, Marie-Claire Cormier (Denis) of Dieppe, NB; by his four sons, Jean-Guy (Muriel) of Beersville, NB, Bernard (Simone) of Moncton, NB, Camille (Pauline) of Dieppe, NB and Louis of Victoria, BC; by his brother Pierre (Céline) of Laval QC; by his eleven grandchildren, Julie (Étienne), Janie (Jon), Mathieu, Julien (Brooke), Monic-France (Marc), Natashia (Andrew), Jérémie (Kimberlee), Christian (Nancy), Isabelle (Morgan), Céline and Mario; by six great grandchildren, Yanick, Alia, Ella, Jack, Alex and Noah; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Dr Renée Parker, the nursing staff at the CHU Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont, to his good friend Dr. Réjean Savoie and as well to our close family friends.

Besides his parents, Normand was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

In keeping with Normand`s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private ceremony will be held in his memory.

Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
