Shediac, NB – Omer Poirier, 84, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Édgar and the late Léoline Poirier (nee Melanson).
Omer will be sadly missed by his best friend, Jeannette Léger of Shediac; by his two daughters, Lynn Pulsefer and Annette Poirier both of Texas, US; by his three sons, Armand, Paul and Normand all of Leominster, Mass., US; by his two grandchildren; by his three great grandchildren; by his two sisters, Marguerite Poirier of Leominster, Mass., US and Léoline Cyr of Shediac Bridge, NB; also by several nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his four sisters, Sr. Sylvia Poirier, Sr. Dorice Poirier, Rita Poirier and Sr. Hélène Poirier and by his brother, Gérald.
A private service was held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge. Interment was held at La Visitation RC Cemetery, Grande-Digue.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Villa Providence would be appreciated by the family.
