Shediac-Bridge, NB – Patrick William Fusk, 72, set sail on his farewell voyage from the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
Born in Quebec City, QC, he was the son of the late Vincent Patrick Fusk and the late Dorothy Mary (Nother) Fusk Kipling.
A deft and enthusiastic storyteller, Pat could bring other times and places to life with a few well chosen words. The Quebec City of his youth was a favorite setting for tales of mischief, but he could find a story worth telling (and re-telling) just about anywhere.
Pat had the sea in his blood and had fond memories of his three years in the Royal Canadian Navy. Whether he was participating in an exercise with the Coast Guard Auxiliary or cruising around Cocagne Bay on the “Wooden Dream”, Pat was always happy on the water.
Pat will be sadly missed by his adored wife of 21 years, Pierrette (Haché); his loving daughter, Catherine Anne; and his dear brother, Albert Vincent (Elizabeth) Fusk. He will also be missed by countless friends and members of his extended family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Timothy.
The family would like to thank all the caring and dedicated staff of 4C and of the ICU at CHU Dumont; your kindness, patience and compassion will not be forgotten.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 10 am until time of the funeral service that will be held at the Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge
at 11 am.
