Paul Hebert
1947 ~ 2019
Moncton, NB – Paul Hebert 71, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 4, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton, NB, on December 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Oliver and Elizabeth (Barolet) Hebert.
Paul retired from Codiac Transit in 2018 after serving citizens of Moncton for 30 years.
Paul Loved to cook, listen to jazz, go for long drives, rearrange furniture and clean at 4am. Most of all he loved sleepovers with his granddaughters, involving pudding, chocolate chips and make your own sundaes.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Joelle (Benjamin) Bateman of Shediac Cape; his sister Angela (Don) Kowalski of Minto, his two granddaughters Analee and Kenzie; also by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Annette (Richard) Hebert and by his brother Raymond.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton on Tuesday October 8, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitations on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at the St. Martin’s-in-the-Woods Anglican Church in Shediac Cape on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 2 pm with Brent Ham officiating. A gathering with refreshments will follow for family and friends at the Young Smith Hall. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The family would to thank the staff of the palliative care unit at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton; also family and friends for their compassion and support during this difficult time.
