Shediac River – Peter Fairburn, 74, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, July 12, 2012, after a sudden illness.
Born in Toronto, ON, on January 14, 1938, Peter was the son of the late Arthur and late Phyllis (Frost) Fairburn.
Peter will be sadly missed by his wife, Susan; his daughter, Pamela Hartwig (Kevin) of Oshawa, ON; his two grandchildren, Joshua & Nicholas; his aunt, Mary Ann (Paul); his uncle, William “Bill” (Sheila); his cousins, James & Dorothy; his brother-in-law, Donald Steeves (Catherine) of Ajax, ON; his two sisters-in-law, Diane Leblanc of Oshawa, ON, Lisa Roy (Mike) of Whitby, ON; also his nephews, John, Chris, Corey, Clinton; his nieces, Jane, Robin, Michal, Nancy, Samantha, Sarah, Ashley, Shelly, Tracy and their children.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his aunt, Dorothy Frost, his father-in-law, Ralph Steeves.
In respect to Peter’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral Chapel will be held at the St. George’s Anglican Church with Rev. Chris Van Buskirk officiating, 51 Church Street, Moncton, on Monday July 16, 2012 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the church hall.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
