Born in Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Henri and the late Bertha Bourque (nee Lirette)
Philias is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Aldéa Bourque (nee Collette) de Moncton; by his five sisters, Phyllis Petrishen of Shediac, Loretta Morrissey (Roy) of Quispamsis, Annette Hage (Kim) of Edmonton, AB, Dianna Arkell of Powell River, BC and Anne Gallant (Raymond) of Scoudouc; by his two brothers, Bob and Billy Bourque both of Moncton; by his three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Ellis of Olds, AB, Jeannine Williams of Moncton and Rosella Collette (Raymond LeBlanc) of Dieppe; by his two brothers-in-law, Raymond Collette (Eva Cormier) of Bouctouche and Jean-Paul Doiron of Moncton; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Philias was predeceased by his sister, Irene Coates.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, NB on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 9:30am till the time of the service. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11:00am. Burial to take place at St. Joseph RC Church Cemetery in Shediac.
A special thank you to the staff of Cameron Terrace Special Care Home as well as the staff of the Moncton Hospital for their excellent care he received.
