Philip Leger, 79, of Villa du Repos and formerly of Broadway St., Moncton, passed away on Monday, November 7th, 2005 at his residence. Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Philip and the late Madelaine (née: Caissie) Leger.
Mr. Leger had retired from Via Rail, he was a member of the CN Pensioners and a parishioner of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C.C.
Mr. Leger is survived by his wife, Beatrice (née: LeBlanc); four daughters: Hélène (Yvon) Cormier of Dieppe, Lucille (Peter) Courtney of Ottawa, ON, Jeanne (Henri) Goguen of Ste-Marie and Anne-Marie (David) Wareing of Dartmouth; one son, Paul (Debbie) of Boundry Creek; one sister, Hélène (late Clarence) Myers of Cocagne; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, Charles in 1995; one grandson, Liam; three sisters: Herminie, Hélène and Rita and also by six brothers: Fidele, Aurele, Arthur, Gérald, Amédée and Paul.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Wednesday, November 9th, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, November 10th, 2005 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB
