Rachel Wedge, 86, of Serenacare Senior Living, Moncton, NB, passed away on Wednesday, September 10th, 2014, at her residence.
Born in Saint-Anselme, NB, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and the late Lyda (née: Leger) LeBlanc.
Mrs. Wedge was a former member of Saint-Louis-de-France and Christ-Roi parishes.
She is survived by daughters: Denise (Bill) Piercey of Halifax, NS, Simone (Rheal) Cormier of Moncton, Monique (David) Fearon of New Glasgow, NS and Michelle, who is lovingly remembered; sons: David (Karen) of Riverview and Pierre (Helen) of Pointe-du-Chene; sisters: Yvette (late Guy) Hamel of Mississauga, ON, Germaine (Georges) Goguen of Moncton and Lucille (late Robert) LeBlanc of St-Bruno, QC; sister-in-law, Trudy LeBlanc of Halifax; brother-in-law, Rene Bourgeois of Shediac; 10 grandchildren: Scott, Todd, Candice, Shawn, Julie, Marc, Lise, Elsa, David and Hannah; 8 great grandchildren: Samuel, Benjamin, Maxwell, Theo, Louis, Gabriel, Laïka and Gabrielle; several nieces and nephews, as well as the extended Wedge Family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence in 1994; sister, Jeannette Bourgeois and also by brothers: Jean-Paul "J.P." and Gilbert.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and from7 to 9 pm ONLY.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB on Monday, September 15th, 2014 at 10:30 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Her true love of children as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother had formed an invisible bond which will never die. It will continue in each one of our hearts as a tribute to a truly great lady.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles: Denise (Bill) Piercey de Halifax, N.-É., Simone (Rheal) Cormier de Moncton, Monique (David) Fearon de New Glasgow, N.-É. et Michelle, qui sera toujours aimés; ses fils: David (Karen) de Riverview et Pierre (Helen) de Pointe-du-Chene; ses soeurs: Yvette (feu Guy) Hamel de Mississauga, ON, Germaine (Georges) Goguen de Moncton et Lucille (feu Robert) LeBlanc de St-Bruno, QC; sa belle-soeur, Trudy LeBlanc de Halifax; son beau-frère, Rene Bourgeois de Shediac; 10 petits-enfants: Scott, Todd, Candice, Shawn, Julie, Marc, Lise, Elsa, David et Hannah; 8 arrières petits-enfants: Samuel, Benjamin, Maxwell, Theo, Louis, Gabriel, Laïka et Gabrielle; plusieurs neveux et nièces, ainsi que la grande famille Wedge.
Son époux, Clarence en 1994; sa soeur, Jeannette Bourgeois ainsi que ses frères: Jean-Paul “J.P.” et Gilbert l’ont précédée dans la tombe..
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B. (857-1901) le dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h SEULEMENT.
Une Célébration de la Parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, Dieppe, NB, le lundi 15 septembre, 2014, à 10h30.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.
