Raymond Melanson

Grand-Barachois, NB – Raymond Melanson, 92, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Born in Shediac Bridge, NB, he was the son of the late Euclide and Eva (nee Poirier) Melanson.
Raymond will be sadly missed by his three sons, Gérald (Louise) of Grand-Barachois, Donald (Claudette) of Shediac and Paul (Cynthia) of Grand-Barachois; his five daughters, Rita Kervin (Lindsay) of Irishtown, Eva Brun (Norbert) of Shediac, Jeanne Melanson (Gilles Morissette) of Rimouski, QC, Fernande Cormier (Roger) of Grand-Barachois and Seneka Melanson (Lloyd Belliveau) of Moncton; his two sisters, Simonne Poirier (late Philippe) and Fernande Amirault both of Shediac Bridge; his daughter-in-law, Odette Doiron-Melanson; also by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anna Babineau (2008); his sons, Edgar (2017) and Maurice (1992); his daughter, Hélène (1958) and his brother, Émile (1930).
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Wednesday morning. Funeral service will be at St-Henri de Barachois RC Church in Grand-Barachois, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10:30 am. Reception will follow.
