Dieppe, NB – Rhéa McGinity, 70, passed away suddenly at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Sunday, January 8, 2017, after a brief illness.
Born in St-Paul-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Isidore and Élise (Babineau) Gaudet.
Rhéa will be sadly missed by her husband, David; her children, Michael (Stefane Paul) of Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, Kelly McGinity (Ted McLellan) of Scottsdale, Arizona, USA, Kara McGinity (Daniel Cowan) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; her four brothers, Léo (Anne-Marie) of Dieppe, Rhéal (Bernice) of Moncton, Guy (Claudette) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent and Gilles of Bouctouche; her two sisters, Jeanne LeBlanc (Clarence) of Dieppe and Louise Cormier (Ronald) of Memramcook; her four grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Wyatt and Élise; her four sisters-in-law, Judith Rygel (late Victor) of Ottawa, ON, Janet McGinity (Peter) of Halifax, NS, Anne-Marie Dunnett (Emery) of Lakeville, Eileen McGinity (late Brian) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; also by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitations on Saturday morning. Funeral mass will be held at Ste-Thérèse-de -l’Enfant-Jésus in Dieppe on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:30 am. Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology), Canadian Cancer Society or to donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
