Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Émile and the late Dorice (née: Belliveau) Després.
Prior to retirement, Rhéal worked for the New Brunswick Department of Transportation. He enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons, talking about cars and especially playing “200” cards with his family and friends.
He is survived by: his children: David (Jocelyne Gautreau) and Renée, both of Cocagne; his beloved grandsons: Philippe, Pierre-Luc and Germain; his common-law wife, Yolande Collette (née: Cormier); his siblings: Effie Kilen (Pat) of Calgary, Louise Péronnet (Jean) of Moncton, Arsène (Lorraine) of Dieppe, Paul-Émile (Dora), Yvette Després (Jean), Yvon (Jackie), Murielle Oakley and Roger (Viola), all of Cocagne; the mother of his children, Edith Collette (née: Gallant), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private visitation and funeral will be held for the family by invitation only, funeral will be broadcast online, on Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 3:30 pm at: www.facebook.com/PassageFH.
