Shediac, NB– Rita Cormier, 67, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 8, 2017, after a brief illness.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Virginie (LeBlanc) Fournier.
Rita will be sadly missed by her daughter, Tasha Cormier (Ian Fergusson) of Haute-Aboujagane; her son, Lee Cormier (Sophie Breau) of Shediac; her three sisters, Marie Fournier Filteau of Shediac, Linda LeBlanc (André) of Grande-Digue and Helen Leger (Wendell White) of Bayfield, NS; her brother, Gary Wilson of Moncton; her granddaughter, Olivia Fergusson; also by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her adoptive parents, Alice and Jos LeBlanc; her five brothers, Yvan, Laurie, Ulysse, Albert and Gerry; one sister, Thérèse.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6 pm until time of funeral service at Passage Chapel at 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Chu Dumont Foundation (Palliative Care) or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
