Rita Dawson, 87, of Shediac, NB and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Friday, January 4th, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Shediac River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Godfrey and the late Suzanne (née: Bourque) Gallant.
She was a former member of the Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe.
She is survived by three daughters: Rita Arcese of Dieppe, Barbara (Roger) Dupuis of Shediac and Carol Stewart of Moncton; 9 grandchildren: Marcel, Gary, Daniel, Lena, Angie, Micheal, Andrew, Jason and Frankie; 7 great grandsons as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; one granddaughter, Maureen and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of service. Funeral service will be celebrated at Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 at 11 am.
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Memorial donations to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
