Moncton, NB – Rita Léger, 93, passed away peacefully at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

Born in Moncton, NB on August 7th, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and the late Mélanie (née Cormier) Chevarie.

Rita will be sadly missed by her son, Richard “Rickie” (Rachel) of Dieppe; her four daughters, Fernande “Fern” Goguen (Gilles) of Grande-Digue, Della Doiron (France), Velma Twohig (Bruce) and Murielle Thibodeau (Paul) all of Dieppe; her son-in-law, Bernie Hope of Riverview; also by her twelve grandchildren and her sixteen great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Oscar Léger; her three daughters, Rachel LeBlanc, Rosella Hope and Monique Léger.

Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 6:00 pm until time of service at the Funeral Chapel at 7:00 pm.

Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
