Notre-Dame, NB – Rita Richard, 68, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 13, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, NB, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Éveline (Bourgeois) LeBlanc.
Rita will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ulysse; one son, André (Anne Jalbert) of Notre-Dame; her four brothers, Yvon (Lucie) of Moncton, Aurèle (Yvette) of St-Anselme, Léonard (Marie-Marthe) of Dieppe and Antoine of Moncton; her four sisters, Dora LeBlanc, Évelina Leger (late Alban) both of Memramcook, Cécile Gautreau (Léandre) of Dieppe and Aline LeBlanc of Moncton; her two grandchildren, Nicolas and Noémie; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Marcel (2003); two sisters, Jeannette (2013) and Auréa (2014).
Visitations will be at Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Slumber Room, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 pm until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur RC Church in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 7 pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
