Bob Laffin, 56, of Scoudouc, NB, formerly of NS, passed away on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Trenton, NS, he was the son of George Laffin and the late Mildred (née: Cameron).
Mr. Laffin was a former Town Clerk for the Town of New Glasgow. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, he also took pleasure in reading and hooking rugs, he will be remembered for readily sharing his opinions with friends and family.
Besides his father, George (Edna) of New Glasgow, NS, he is survived by his spouse, Valmond Bourque; one step-daughter, Mélanie Eve (Marcel) of Ottawa, ON; 2 step sons: Maxime and Nicholas, both of Moncton; one sister, Debbie Laffin of Trenton, NS; five step-sisters; two brothers: Bruce (Bev) of Trenton, NS and Dave (Lisa) of Stellarton, NS; one step brother; three nieces: Jennifer, Amanda and Jillian; one nephew, Justin, as well as several step nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 9 am until time of service.
Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at 10 am.
Donations to either of the local hospitals, the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

M. Laffin avait travaillé comme greffier pour la ville de New Glasgow.
Bob aimait le plein air, et il prenait du plaisir à faire la lecture et crocheter des tapis. On s’en souviendra comme une personne qui n’hésitait pas d’exprimer son opinion avec sa famille et ses amis.
Outre son père, George (Edna) de New Glasgow, N.-É., il laisse dans le deuil son époux, Valmond Bourque; sa belle-fille, Mélanie Eve (Marcel) d’Ottawa, ON; deux beaux-fils: Maxime et Nicholas, tous deux de Moncton; une sœur, Debbie Laffin de Trenton, N.-É.; cinq belles-sœurs; deux frères: Bruce (Bev) de Trenton, N.-É., et Dave (Lisa) de Stellarton, N.-É.; un beau-frère; trois nièces: Jennifer, Amanda et Jillian; un neveu, Justin, ainsi que plusieurs beaux-neveux et belles-nièces.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le vendredi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le samedi de 9h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.

Un don à la Société canadienne du cancer , la fondation des maladies du cœur ou aux hôpitaux locaux serait apprécié par la famille.
