Shediac – It is with deep sadness that the family of Robert “Popeye” Fougère, husband of Eugenie Fougère of Shediac, announces his passing at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the age of 77.
Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Amédée and Annie (LeBlanc) Fougère.
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife, Eugenie; his two sons, Bobby (Gisèle) of Haute-Aboujagane, Terry (Angèla) of Shediac; his three daughters, Pauline Lirette (Marcel) of Scoudouc, Laudia Gallant (Normand) of Shediac, Anita Fontaine (Paul) of MacDougall Settlement; his two brothers, Walter (Loretta Boucher) of Shediac, René (Judy) of Moncton; his six sisters, Edna Vautour of Vancouver, Clarice LeBlanc, Suzanne LeBlanc and Camilla Richard, all of Shediac, Léonie Boucher of Moncton, Annie Fougère of Cap-Pelé; his two sisters-in-law, Rachelle Fougère of Moncton, Doris Gallant of Shediac; his ten grandchildren; his ten great grandchildren; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Léo and Laurent.
Visitation will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, April 5th from 1 to 3 pm, followed by the funeral service at the Passage Chapel at 3 pm.
The family wishes to say a special thank you to the extra-mural for the special care they gave to Robert at home.
