Cocagne – Roméo Goguen, 63, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, July 21st, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Cocagne on May 26, 1948, he was the son of the late René and Hélène (Maillet) Goguen.
Roméo will be sadly missed by his wife Yvette; his son, Marc Goguen of Kentucky, US; his two daughters, Doreen Goguen (Stephen) and Sandra Bartley (Mike), both of Moncton; his two brothers, Elmo Goguen (Suzanne) of Cocagne and Roger Goguen (Rose) of Notre-Dame-de-Kent; his two sisters, Winnefred Arsenault (Édouard) of Cocagne and Jeannine Davis of Springfield, US; his two grandsons, Ryan and Shawn; also several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, July 24th, from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be at St-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church on Monday, July 25th at 11 am. No visitations on Monday.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
