It is with sad regret that we announce the passing of Rosa Leger, 74, of Dieppe, on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center.
Born on June 26th, 1938, in Fox Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and the late Dauphine (née: LeBlanc) Gauvin.
She was a member of the Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church and of the Golden Age Club in Saint-Anselme. She took great pleasure in knitting, reading and cooking. She also loved to play cards with her friends at Résidence Saint-Anselme where she had lived for the past 14 years.
She will be sadly missed by her only daughter, Joanne (Reno) Gaudet of Dieppe; her precious grandchildren: Tina (Alex) and Mathieu (Rachelle), and her great granddaughter Isabelle. She leaves to mourn her sister, Maria (Paul) LeBlanc and her brother, Gérald (Janice) Gauvin; several brothers and sisters-in-law; a very special friend Eloi Richard and his family who were so kind, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred « Freddy » in 1998.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901), on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, (Dieppe, NB), on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at 11 am.
Interment at Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Dr Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation « Oncology » or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Née à Fox Creek, N.-B., elle était fille de feu Fred et de feu Dauphine (née LeBlanc) Gauvin.
Mme Leger était membre de la paroisse Saint-Anselme et du Club d’Âge d’Or de Saint-Anselme. Elle aimait tricoter, lire, cuisiner et aussi jouer aux cartes avec ses amis de la Résidence Saint-Anselme, où elle a vécu pendant les dernier 14 ans.
Elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Joanne (Reno) Gaudet de Dieppe; deux petits-enfants: Tina (Alex) et Mathieu (Rachelle); une arrière-petite-fille, Isabelle; une sœur, Maria (Paul) LeBlanc; un frère, Gérald (Janice) Gauvin; plusieurs belles-sœurs et beaux-frères; un ami spécial, Eloi Richard et sa famille qui a été tellement gentille avec elle, ainsi que plusieurs cousin, cousines, neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, son époux, Alfred « Freddy » en 1998 l’a précédée dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme, le lundi 12 novembre, 2012, à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial Saint-Anselme, Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la fondation Hôpital Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont ou à la fondation des maladies du cœur du N.-B. serait apprécié par la famille.
