En Souvenir De
Rose LeBlanc
janvier 6, 2014

Shediac, NB – Rose LeBlanc, 85, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, January 6, 2014.

Born in Grande-Digue, NB on December 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Auguste and the late Marie (Arsenault) Vautour.

Our mother Rose and father Albert raised their family while working on the farm. Rose liked to help out in the fields and was good at gardening, cooking and sewing. After she married her second husband Brose in 1986, they enjoyed many years of traveling and socializing with their good friends Edmond and Juliette. She remained active, by walking, golfing and cross-country skiing, until she was diagnosed with vascular dementia in her late 70s. Her quality of life slowly deteriorated to the point that she had to move to the Résidence O Bon Soins in Shediac, where she received excellent care for close to four years. We will miss our dear mother, but at the same time we are very grateful that she is now at peace with the Lord.

Rose will be sadly missed by her six children, Gloria Miller (Duane), Bernard (Louise), Gisèle Thébeau (Lucas), Anne Goguen (Gérard), Alice Léger (Jacques) and Robert (Odette); her four sisters, Émilia Bourque (Edmond), Alma Bourque (Leonard), Jeanne d’Arc LeBlanc and Anne-Marie LeBlanc (Orice); her brother, Yvon Vautour (Cécile); her ten grandchildren, Rémi, Luc, Carole, Sylvie, Patrick, Joël, Sara, Rachel, Julie, Gabriel; her two great granddaughters, Jenna and Adèle; her special caring friend and roommate Léona Cormier (Mame) and Krissy who loved Rose very much. Rose is also survived by her four stepchildren, Patricia LeBlanc (Steve), Michel LeBlanc (Lucie), Jacques LeBlanc and Caroline Nowlan (Roger) and their families.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Albert LeBlanc (1975); her second husband, Brose LeBlanc (2007); one infant brother, Henri (1930); one sister, Marguerite (2004); one brother, Ulysse (2013); two half-brothers, Alcide (1988) and Aldérice (1983); one half-sister, Germaine (2011).

Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitations on Thursday. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donation to the ChuDumont Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
