Shediac, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mrs. Rosée (Richard) Breau at her residence in Shediac, on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the age of 86.
Born in Cap-Pelé on December 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Albert LeBlanc and the late Annie Richard.
A devoted mother to her large family, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Her other passions included travelling, playing cards, as well as picking blueberries in the summer and tackling puzzles during the winter months.
Rosée is survived by her eleven children, Francis (Rose-Marie) Richard of Moncton, Louise (Paul-Émile) Gautreau of Shediac, Alice (Normand) Poirier of Cocagne, Dianne (Antonio) Roy of Bathurst, Rhéal (Iris) Richard of Cocagne, Gérald (Dorine) Richard of Bouctouche, Noëlla Belliveau (Maurice LeClair) of Moncton, Rosella Richard-Donnelly (Mark Donnelly) of Irishtown, Léo (Betty) Richard of Cocagne, Anne (Guy LeBlanc) of Moncton and Paul Richard (Mélanie) of Cocagne; one brother, Odule (Anita) LeBlanc of Shediac; two sisters, Émilie (Bob) Blight of Dartmouth, NS, Lina (Fidèle) Poirier of Cocagne; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Léandre Richard; her second husband, Ola Breau; twins, Pascal and Marie; one son-in-law, Léo-Paul (Polly) Belliveau; a grandchild, Gaston Richard; three sisters, Léona, Albertine and Lumina; four brothers, Joseph, Léo, Adérice and René.
Visitation will be held at the Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, July 28, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. No visitations on Monday morning. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne, on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 11 am. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
