Born in Cap-Pelé, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Zélima (Gautreau) Landry.
Simone will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Joanne Babineau (Jean-Marie) of Grande-Digue and Janice Cormier (Donald) of Dieppe; her son, Bernard (Hélène Doiron) of Cap-Pelé; her sister, Jeannette Edwards (Robert) of Lakefield, QC; her two sisters-in-law: Alice Landry of Cap-Lumière, Rita LeBlanc (Bert) of Shediac; her four grandchildren, Mario, André, Stéphanie and Luc; by her great granddaughter, Madison; her special friend, Edmond Duguay of Cap-Pelé; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alyre Leger (July 15, 2005); three brothers, Laurie Joseph and Gérard; two sisters, Albertine, Yolande and an infant sister Jeannine.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Friday morning. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Henri de Barachois RC Church in Grand-Barachois on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or to CHU Dumont Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
