Cocagne, NB – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stella Maillet, 65, at the Villa Providence in Shediac, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020.
Born in St-Thomas, NB, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste and the late Irène Cormier (born Melanson).
Stella worked at the Faculty of Administration at the Université de Moncton for more than 30 years. She was a kindhearted person who was always ready to help others. She loved to travel, especially to go shopping in the United States. She was also an avid fan of the Aigles Bleus.
Stella will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Emile Maillet of Cocagne; her five sisters, Monique Cormier, Marie-Mai LeBlanc (Gérard), Odette Cormier (Hector Robichaud), Francine Cormier-Maillet (Antoine) all of Cocagne and Dianne Cormier (Adrien Caissie) of Notre-Dame; also by several nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Villa Providence for their kindness and the excellent care provided.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the date and hours of the visitations and the funeral service will be announced at a later date.
In memory of Stella, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice.
