It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Mrs. Tena Benita Leslie, 96, on Saturday, January 10th, 2015, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Grindstone, Magdalen Islands, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Buck and the late Mary Melissa (nee Patton) Buck. She moved to Dieppe, NB from South Rustico, PEI in 1981.
Mrs. Leslie leaves to mourn, Mona of Moncton, Bernard of Toronto, Marilyn (Albert) Bouffard of Memramcook, Sheila of Charlottetown, Robert (Nancy) of Toronto, David (Donna) of Mt. Herbert PEI and Kathy (Billy) Hood of North Milton, PEI. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Roland Chalmers Leslie in 2000; one daughter, Mary; two sons: Boyd and Peter; two daughters-in-law: Arlene and Jean; two sisters: Lillian Bentley and Dora Buck; two brothers: Dewey Buck and Roy Leslie and also by one great granddaughter, Melissa.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm.
A funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, with Eric Vautour officiating, on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment in Sherwood Cemetery, Charlottetown, PEI.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home would be appreciated by the family.
During her last years at Spencer’s Nursing Home, she came to love the staff and her « girls », as she called them, on Gardengrove wing. Her family would like to thank the staff for the good care she received.
