She was born in Valkeala, Finland, March 6, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Jaakko and the late Kaarina (nee Sutela) Hyöppinen.

Tuula is survived by her brother, Raimo Hyöppinen and his children, Maria and Markkus, her best friend, Ritta Kotinurmi and her husband, Pertti Paarnio and their daughter, Piritta Paarnio-Nupponen (Tuula’s Goddaughter) and her husband, Pasai Nupponen and their children of Finland.  Special friends, Ann and Bill Kriska of Weldon, NB and their children and grandchildren, Shelly and Denis Leblanc of Moncton, Diane Vanier of Brampton.  Also her Salvation Army friends where she volunteered, especially Linda and Alfred Boudreau.

Tuula was previously employed most recently at Wal-Mart Garden center in Dieppe, and for over 20 years at the Hotel Beausejour, now Delta Beausejour in Moncton.  Tuula was a fun, thoughtful, kind and very caring person. She loved her home, traveling, gardening and every one of her four legged friends, most recently Sophie.

Donations to the SPCA or to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.

A celebration of Tuula’s life will take place at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 am.
