Shediac, NB (formerly from St-Antoine Sud) – Uris Williams, 94, passed away at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, after a brief illness.
Born in St-Antoine, NB, he was the son of the late Philippe and the late Exelda Williams (nee Gagnon).
Uris served in the Second World War. He was a founding member of Uris Williams & Sons and a former CN worker.
He will be sadly missed by his three sons, Guy (Adrienne), Jean (Adrienne) and Eddie (Linda DesRoches); his two daughters, Francine (Léo) and Ella (Normand); his brother, Adelard (Francine); his three sisters, Lyda (late Alfred), Regina (Blaise) and Aldéa (late Emile); by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Azélie (2016); three brothers, Irèné, Gérard and Camille; and four sisters, Cécile, Lucie, Maria and Angela.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine de l’Ermite slumber room in Saint-Antoine, NB, on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service. Funeral service will be held at the Saint-Antoine de l’Ermite RC Church on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 am.
