Ste-Marie-de-Kent – Valmon Girouard, 80, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
Born in St-Paul-de-Kent, NB on April 5th, 1931, he was the son of the late Albert and Ludivine (Robichaud) Girouard.
Valmon will be sadly missed by his daughter, Rachel Richard (Arthur) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; his brother, Edwin (Paulette) of St-Paul-de-Kent; two sisters, Patsy of Petit-Cap, Carmella (late Roger) of St-Paul-de-Kent; his two grandchildren, Jolain and Milika; also to several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Claudia (Oct. 2010); and his infant brother, Ernest.
Visitations will be held at the St-Paul-de-Kent slumber room on Friday, August 19th from 10 am until time of funeral. Funeral service will be at St-Paul-de-Kent RC Church on Friday, August 19th, at 11 am. Interment in Passage Columbarium.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, to the Canadian Diabetes Association or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
