En Souvenir De
VIDA DAIGLE
avril 28, 2020

It is with great sadness that Vida’s family announce her very peaceful passing at her home in Dieppe on April 28th, after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71.

She was the daughter of the late Albert and the late Alice (Robichaud) Savoy from Loggieville, NB.

Survived by her son, Robby and daugther-in-law, Tracy of Dieppe; one sister, Albertine Curtis of Trenton ON, as well nieces and nephews spread throughout Canada.

Predeceased by her husband, Roger of 39 years; two brothers: John Orson Savoy (Audrey) and younger brother, Danny, as well as special family friend, Bobby Bennett.

Also by one brother, and two sisters by her mother’s first marriage: Bobby Thompson (Clara), Cecilia (Thompson) Guimond and Ada (Thompson) Hallihan.

Her father-in-law, Peter Daigle and mother-in-law, Stella Daigle.

Born in Chatham, NB, Vida was an amazing woman, loved by all and anyone who had the honour of knowing her. She always remained positive throughout her sickness, lived life to her fullest and she never let it get her down.

She loved to travel which took her to Cabo San Lucas and Cancun, Mexico numerous times. Took a bus trip through the States, a few trips to Florida, visited California, Las Vegas /Grand Canyon and The Dominican Republic as well as one of her favourite places in the world, twice to Gold Coast, Australia.

She thought the world of her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and wife. She had a very special bond with her nephew and friends throughout the years.

Vida had a few jobs in her lifetime but was very happy to finally retire to make more time for travelling and float around in the pool.

Vida retired from Scotia Bank as a bank teller.

By Vida’s request and due to the COVID-19 situation, there will be no visitation.

Vida would like to thank Dr. W.K. MacGillivray and his staff for all the years they had taken care of her.

Arrangements entrusted to Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901).
