Grande-Digue, NB – Viola Gallant, 99, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, April 20th, 2015.

Born in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Évariste and the late Mélina (Léger) Hébert.

Viola will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Lucia Hébert (Normand), Lucienne Leger (Normand) both of Grande-Digue and Denise Gallant (Gérald) of La Pocatière, QC; her seven sons, Alonzo (Elda), Normand (Annette), Léonard (Jeanne), Clarence (Gemma), Donald (Géraldine), Bernard (Lucille) all of Grande-Digue and Roger (Nélida) of Cocagne; her three sisters, Rita, Doris and Annette; her three brothers, Yvon, Laurie and Adrien; her fifteen grandchildren; her sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also by several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alyre (2004); two infant sons; three brothers, Pierre, Wilfred and Théodule; four sisters, her twin Anida, Germaine, Bernadette and Éva-Mai.

In respect to Viola’s wishes there will be no visitations. Funeral mass will be held at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Monday, April 27th, 2015 at 11 am. Reception to follow.

Donations to the Chu Dumont Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
