Cocagne, NB – Yvonne Goguen, 102 and 4 months, passed away peacefully at Foyer St-Antoine, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 10, 2017, after a brief illness.
Born in Cocagne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Ida (Després) Goguen.
Yvonne will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Dianna Goguen (Donald Martin), Murielle Goguen, Aline Melanson (Eugère) and Ginette Goguen (Mireille Roy) all of Cocagne; her two sons, Georges (Dorice) and Louis-Philippe (Rena) both of Cocagne; her two sisters, Eva Richard (late Arthur) of Moncton and Rita Jacques (Freddy) and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Goguen both of Fitchburg, Mass; her eight grandchildren, René, Mireille, Stéphanie, Marie-Josée, Louis-Georges, Isabelle, Nicolas and Sébastien; her eleven great grandchildren, Hugo, Maxime, Dominic, Chanelle, Alexandre, Marie-Eve, Adèle, Marianne, Xavier, Alexandre, Jeremy and Sarah-Michèle; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Irènée (1966); four brothers, Eric, Camille Alcide and Arthur; two sisters, Alice and Irène.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Wednesday morning. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11 am. A reception will follow at "Cercle 50" in Cocagne.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the “Fonds de Secours Au Seuil de L’espoir (pour survivants-es du cancer dans le besoin)” or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
