Born in Saint-Norbert, NB, he was the son of the late Donat and the late Rosa (Caissie) Maillet.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Maillet was a carpenter.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Annette Hébert (Bernard) of Bouctouche and Louise Boudreau (Norbert) of McKees Mills; his sons: Laurie Maillet (Debbie) of Florida and Roger Maillet (Frank) of Moncton; his grandchildren: Louise, Mélissa, Janice, Susan, Jennifer, Carole, Bernard Jr., Jeffrey, Mélanie and Nicholas; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; his sisters: Maria Johnson (Gerard) of Minto, Cécile Goguen (Joseph) of Leominster, Mass and Geneva Poirier (Omer) of Bouctouche; his brothers: Raymond (late Jeannette) (Maria) of Tracadie, Léandre (Phyllis) of Leominster, Mass, André (Helena) of Cocagne, Léo (Francine) of Saint-Antoine, Antoine of Moncton and Gérald (Noëlla) of Saint-Paul, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Irène (Hébert); his daughter, Bernice and by his brothers: Eric, Emile and Roger.
Due to the Covid-19 regulations, proof of vaccination and masks will be mandatory.
Visitation will be held from Passage – Shediac Bridge, on Monday, October 25th, 2021, from 1 pm to 3:30 pm.
Funeral mass will be held from Saint-Jean-Baptiste RC Church, Bouctouche, on Monday, October 25th, 2021 at 4 pm.
Interment in the parish cemetery.
