It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lyse (née Lise) Trottier at the age of 84, on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, at The Moncton Hospital, following a stroke.
Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Marie Trottier and the late Irène Durand.
She is survived by the children of her husband, the late Pierre Giroux: Isabelle, her partner Jacques, with whom she had shared her life since 2020; Mathieu, Marc and his wife Mélanie; her grandchildren: Frédéric, Sébastien, Laeticia, and Eva; her sisters-in-law: Monique, Françoise (Louis-Marie) and Liliane; her nephews and nieces on the Giroux side; her brothers: Rolland and Gilles; as well as sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces on the Trottier side.
Lyse was a mother-in-law and grandmother who loved her family. She leaves a big void in the Giroux family. She loved car rides and participated in many activities, despite Alzheimer’s disease that had been progressing since 2012. Her smile was always there, and she enjoyed seeing people, young and old, in her new town of Notre-Dame since 2022. She will be missed by all who knew her, family and friends alike.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
