Shediac, NB – Mary Elizabeth Gaudet, 79, passed away peacefully at Albert House in Moncton with her family by her side, on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Born in Memramcook, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and the late Mary Powers (Kierstead).
Mary will be sadly missed by her children: Stephen Gaudet (Jennifer “MacRae”) of Haute-Aboujagane and Samantha Gaudet (late Richard Rowntree) of Grand-Barachois; her granddaughters: Meghan Bordage (Sebastien) and Madisson Gaudet; her precious grandson: Calum Bordage; her brother: Ross Powers (Betty) of Moncton; her sister: Myrtle Powers Doyle of Moncton; her loving dog: Rocky; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Léonce Gaudet; her brothers: Frankie (2years old), Jesse, Robert, Lloyd and Manning.
As per Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in St-Henri de Barachois Cemetery in Grand-Barachois, NB, where she will rest in peace with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Albert House or to a charity of your choice.

What a blessing to serve the Lord with Mary. We could always count on Mary to share words of godly wisdom. It is my prayer that the Lord will grant peace and comfort to all who mourn her passing. Samatha, Stephen and family, we have never met but Mary shared photos of you and she was so proud of her beautiful family. Mary will be greatly missed by all her friends and neighbours at Maple Leaf Golf and Country Club in Port Charlotte, Florida, where she spent so many wonderful winters at her winter home with her beloved Rocky. She was a shining light in the community. Rocky will miss his regular walks along the Queensway. I will especially miss her presence at my table on Christmas Day along with her charming presence at Cribbage every Wednesday night,
Mary was a precious friend and I will miss her terribly.
